Welcome to InProcess Therapy
Alysa MacMillen, PsyD
Quality mental healthcare in person or from the comfort of your home.
“I’m so tired but I can’t sleep. I lie awake at night feeling paralyzed and unable to breathe…my body feels hot, my stomach hurts and my heart races. I replay every embarrassing or shameful moment of my day…of my life… on repeat in my mind; I feel like a failure. I’m convinced that everyone is judging me. ‘What if…’ thoughts consume me. I never feel good enough!”
Sound familiar?
If you are tired of avoiding things, people pleasing, numbing, striving for perfection, worrying about everything…you are in the right place.
I can help.
Clients who work with me gain a better understanding of their symptoms and what is happening in their bodies from a biological and evolutionary perspective. They learn healthy and effective coping/calming strategies. They develop skills for noticing and managing their thoughts, setting and maintaining boundaries, engaging in effective communication, living mindfully, and identifying and meeting their own needs. They become empowered to liberate themselves from the things that hold them back from the lives they truly want.
You can live with more calm, more courage, more connection, and better sleep.
Are you ready?
Therapy should feel like the self-care that it is…
In-person therapy sessions are conducted in a comfortable, warm, inviting environment conducive to social distancing. Rock or recline and enjoy complimentary coffee, tea, or water as you prioritize your mental and emotional well-being.
Taking time out of our busy and often chaotic lives to take care of ourselves feels more challenging than ever. We should make the most of that sacrifice!
